Benefits Data Interchange XML (BDI-XML) Standards

In order to facilitate secure information sharing and information between authorized third-parties, Benefit Advisors, Inc. has developed a series of XML-based Standards. The standards follow the guidelines set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) for XML specifications and schema. All of our standards have passed their validation and are fully compliant with the W3C XML Schema Definition Language. In order to implement our standard, we recommend you read both the implementation guide and utilize our .xsd schema file, both available on the right hand side of this page. Additionally, we've provided a sample .xml file that is compliant within our specifications to assist with your development and testing.

Benefit Advisors, Inc. XML API

While the XML Standards provide a framework for us to share information, we've developed a proprietary RSS-based API to distribute the validated XML files to our authorized third-parties. Our XML API works in real-time and can provide update information to third parties, as it's updated within our systems. A client library is available in PHP5, please contact us if you'd like a copy.
